Fully Developed Claim (FDC)
VA Terminology Definition
Plain English Definition
A claim where you submit ALL your evidence upfront, rather than waiting for the VA to gather it. Results in faster processing.
Why This Matters
With an FDC, you're saying 'I've given you everything - decide now.' This can cut processing time significantly.
Example
Instead of waiting months for VA to request records, you gather everything yourself: STRs, medical records, buddy statements, and nexus letter. Then file as a Fully Developed Claim.
